Gilles,

Could you give me more information on RGE. I'm not familiar with that term.

Thanks

Subject: Data Access

Hello all,

For those of you who develop full fledged Java applications that access DB2
UDB for iSeries, what methods do you use for data access and changes. i.e.
updates, deletes, inserts. My boss wants to know what methods others are
using so we can evaluate our strategy. We are particularly interested in
the use of Stored Procedures written in RPGLE. Possibly using SQL when
prudent. I have investigated using SQL stored procedures to find out you
need ILE C in order to compile them. Maybe next release.

Thank you,

Mark
