Sorry, I cannot think of anything other than catching the exception from
connect service or validate signon. The only possible alternative is
getPasswordExpirationDate on the AS400 object. Using this date you can
warn your users that the password is about to expire. If users do not heed
the warning the password can still expire.

Subject: Catching Password Expiration on AS400 with tool box

Hi

I have this problem in which the password on my AS400 is set to expire with
certain no of days. Now when i log in to AS400 from my servlet and validate
the User Id and password. I have to check for this password expiration
condition and throw the User a screen on which he can input the new
password
and confirm it which then would get update for the UserId in AS400 for that
User's profile.

I was looking for any method or exception from validateSignOn method in
AS400 ToolBox classes from where i can trap this condition and do my
processing. I didn't find any specific method which handles these
conditions.

Can any one tell me how i can go about it??

Thanks
Niranjan
