Subject: HTML encoding problem (Document link not converted)

We have an XML application where the XML message arrives at the HTTP server
via a Get request and encoded so that '/' is replaced by '%2F', etc. A
servlet then picks up the XML message and parses and processes it.
We are fairly frequently getting parser errors where (for example) a '/' is
coming up as '2F' - the '%' appears to be getting lost.
This is in the middle of the XML message - the rest is fine, which makes me
doubtful that the problem is caused by incorrect Java programming.
On doing an AS/400 comms trace, it looks as though the problem occurs where
the '%', which always arrives safely on the AS/400, is the first character
in a frame. The Ethernet line is half duplex, which is probably irrelevant.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a lot
Mandy
