I am a little bit out of my league here but I'll try my best.

We are working on a new Java application project. We had built a strong case
for use of Java instead of our vendors preference for ActiveX,VB,COM/DCOM, etc.
As we get closer to starting the application project itself the vendor is
questioning the ability to perform drag and drop functions within Java. The
application is a finite scheduling system. What the user is envisioning is that
they have a sales order and they want to move it from one plant/machine to
another. They want to be able to pick up that sales order object and drop it
into the new location. I realize I am short on details here but I was wondering
how capable Java was at doing this and in what environments - browser, etc.

Can anyone provide some direction or do they know of examples of this type of
function? TIA
