Nope.  Use:

  if (string.equals(case1) doCase1();
  else if (string.equals(case2)) doCase2();
  else doOtherCase();

Be careful, though.  This is one of those situations where you should begin to 
think about your object model.  Methods with case statements should immediately 
suggest subclassing and overriding.  That way, you can expand your case list 
without changing lines of code and potentially missing a case statement in one 
of your methods.

Something like:

switch(string)
{
  case "X": blah; break;
  case "Z": blahblah; break;
}

Seems it requires int.  Javascript doesn't.  ;)
