After thinking about this, will it really do much harm?  If it works at all
like SQL on the AS/400 the SQL command isn't really run until the first
fetch is issued.  That's when all the magic happens.  Before that, preparing
a statement, etc, doesn't take much at all.

I still agree, though, it's probably not the best way to get the column
names.  Right now I'm looking through the docs for something that may work.
Any assistance would be apreciated.  :)
