RE: A newbie ADTS400 question.

I don't think either of these is relevant, because I *think* the error
messages in the QEJBADMIN log were different, but I have encountered these
two issues in installing & commissioning WAS 3.n, neither of which was
obvious:
a) CRTLIB public authority had previously been changed to *EXCLUDE - this
prevents the Admin server from starting the first time because it can't
create the EJSADMIN library (I think giving QEJB *USE authority to CRTLIB
fixed this)
b) no DNS configured on CFGTCP and the AS/400's own host.domain entry
(CFGTCP option 12) not in its own host table (so the AS/400 couldn't ping
itself!)

Sorry. I wasn't explicit. Do a WRKJOB 444080/QEJB/QEJBADMIN  If there is a
list of jobs, specify option 1 next to the topmost job listed. Specify
option 4 to Work With Spooled Files on the Work with Job screen. QPJOBLOG
will be  the joblog. QPRINT files will contain stdout and stderr for the
job. Those are what I was asking for.

Frances, All I can see is two messages... One where it says QEJBADMIN is
started and the other is the failure message which I cut and pasted here.
there are no messages in QEJBSBS either.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? We installed Websphere on the
AS/400 and when we try to start the QEJBSBS, we get the following message
