I think you're trying to db2java.zip to use the DB2 NT or
DB2 Linux native driver on the AS/400.

Don't do that.

The AS/400 Native driver is implemented in db2_classes.jar
its class name is (com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver) NOTE the
LOWERCASE 'com' and you shouldn't need to update
your classpath to get it.

You should probably remove the db2java.zip file
from your AS/400.

The native driver in db2java.zip (COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver)
uses native code (hence its called the native driver) to
implement it. That native code is only available on
NT, Linux or wherever you got the zip file from.

I don't think its what you want to do, but if you really want
to access your DB2 NT or DB2 Linux database from the AS/400,
use the DB2 UNO net driver. COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Driver

------------------
We are attempting our first Java Servlet that utilizes an AS/400 database.
When we run the application we receive a

java.sql.SQLException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no db2jdbc in shared
library path

After looking at the archives, I used the WRKENVVAR command and placed the
following classpath variable:

                         Display Environment Var (*SYS)
 Name . . . . . . . . . : classpath
 Value . . . . . . . . . :
'/qibm/ProdData/Java400/ext:/qibm/UserData/WebASAdv
/default/servlets'
I used the "snoop" example which returns the current classpath variable. I
have attempted to copy the db2java.zip and the DB2_CLASSES.JAR files to a
folder on the existing path shown in "snoop". Still no luck.

I am a NOT a Java expert by any stretch of the imagination. What am I
doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for you help.
