I actually have written a handful of RPG CGI pgms but I want to extend my
knowledge to Java.  So maybe servlets is the process I should check out
first.

http://195.183.8.2/ is IBM's RPG-CGI page.  It's based in Italy.  There is a
CGI tutorial there that you might find helpful if you are an RPG programmer.
