  • Subject: java.class & java servlets invoked from JSP

Gurus,

I am getting the following in my Console for the WebSphere Test Environemt ( 3.02 ):
Instantiate: java.class
Instantiate: java
It happens only when I use Netscape ( 4.7 ) doesn't when i use IE ( 5.5 )
It happens with the JSPs ( 1.0 )
I have isolated it to occur exactly when the JspWriter outstream buffer fills its 8k and auto flushes.  Thus if the JSP is small you don't get the java.class call.

Why do I care? ( I'll answer this one )
Because on the 400 ( 3.02.1 ) where the live site will exist, I keep getting 5 Exception stack dumps saying that it can't find class java.class and java.  So any users using Netscape would fill the standard out log in a matter of minutes.

Why does this happen only with Netscape?
Why doesn't the WTE throw the same exception as the 400?
How do I fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Graeme English
