  • Subject: getRealPath() using wrong HTTP Config!?

Sorry if this is duplicated. I know the java list was having problems.

Still having this problem, decided to troubleshoot.

Turns out that my servlet is using a different http config file to determine
the "root" path to my files instead of the ACTUAL http config file that it's
running in. Nice.... I assume this is fixed in later versions of WebSphere
(I believe I'm on 1.1).

I am running my servlet on a port (8080) and it's reading the instance
config of the one on port 80. Nice job!

getRealPath("file.txt") looks in the wrong path. After changing the port 80
config and restarting the port 8080 instance, it looked in the new dir in
the port 80 config confirming my suspicions.

Brad
