You can't count on the getRow method to always returning the number of rows
in the ResultSet after the last method call.  This has to do with the way
the AS/400 database works and both the Toolbox and Native JDBC driver have
similar limitations in this regard.

What you may want to do is use another query such as SELECT COUNT(*) FROM
TABLE first to figure out how many rows there are going to be.  This is
going to be slower than just having the value directly, but there are
performance implications of using scrollable ResultSets too (they make the
ResultSet class internal caching pretty ineffective).

Hi Tom,
            I think, your facing this problem only because you don't know
the number of records present in the ResultSet, am i right.
            Are you using JDBC 2 API, then it is very easy to solve this
problem. After getting the ResultSet,
    1) Use     boolean is_true = resultset.last(); this will set the
pointer
in the last record of your ResultSet.
    2) Use     int no_of_records = resultset.getRow(); this will return the
current record number, ie last record number. So you can get the number of
records present in the result set.
            Using this you can easily create the Array, if you want you can
get the column count, ie number of fields present in each record of the
Resultset.
       ResultSetMetaData rsmd = resultset.getMetaData();
       int column_count = rsmd.getColumnCount();
           Now you got all the two values required to create the array. I
belive this will help you. Please give your feed back, so that i could
correct myself, if i did any mistake.
