Hmmm...  

I presume you copied the RAWTGui.zip from /QIBM/ProdData/Java400/jdk117
on the AS/400, and put it in the CLASSPATH ahead of the regular
classes.zip, eh?  (Seeing your PC command-line invocation might help me
here.) 

And, to help further, I'm probably going to need to see the actual
AS/400-side JAVA command invocation to look at the properties you are
specifying.  As near as I can tell, the most-likely culprit in your
problem is the value you are specifying for the RmtAwtServer property
(this specifies the name or IP address of the PC 'serving' the actual
'glass').  What value are you specifying there?  Can you go to QCMD and
"ping" that value, as-is? 

Just a couple more puzzle pieces.  :)
