Java programs that use the AS400 Toolbox for Java GU classes, namely
jt400.jar version V4R4 (Mod 2), must use JDK1.1.x plus Swing 1.0.3 or
later. You cannot use JDK1.2 with AS400Toolbox Gui classes.
However,  if you must use JDK 1.2 along with Toolbox Gui classes than
please use
jt400.jar V4R5 (mod 3) which is currently in beta until V4R5M0 is
officially released later this year -

the link for Modification 3 Beta.
NOTE: jt400.jar V4R4 Mod2 uses com.sun.java.swing package hierarchy.
jt400.jar V4R5 Mod 3 uses javax.swing package hierarchy.
