Thanks for the info Tosh.  We guessed this must be the case after we finally got
the PTF installed.

You might want to mention to whoever owns the Webshere web pages (and the manual
_and_ the Redbook!) that the fact that this area only exists _after_ applying
the PTF is not mentioned anywhere we could find.  In fact it suggests the
opposite in that it unconditionally tells you to check this area to establish
your version etc.  Seems to me it should be built when the product is installed.
