MSTJDBC.java:53: Method getConnnection(java.lang.String, java.lang.String,
ja
va.lang.String) not found in class java.sql.DriverManager.

DriverManager.getConnnection("jdbc:as400://128.0.60.1","FRN010","FRN

Since the connection does apparently work eventually, maybe you have a dns
problem. Try connecting using the ip address:
m_conConnection =
DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://111.222.333.444","userid","passwd"
);

Subject: JDBC Connection problem

When running the following code to connect to a DB2 via JDBC, the connection
time is very long or up to a minute.

Connection m_conConnection = null;
try
{
DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver());
m_conConnection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://" + "MySystem",
"userid", "passwd");
m_conConnection.close();
}

Does anyone have a clue what might be the problem.

Regards
