It could be the format of the data in the table does not match the job date
format.  Try setting the JDBC connection's date format to *ISO by adding ";date
format=iso" to the URL used when connecting via JDBC.  You may need to specify a
different date format depending on the format of the data in the table.

I am doing no date operations at all.  Simply selecting all of the rows
from a table, then inserting those values into another table in a
different database on a separate machine using the getstring operation.
