  • Subject: Java to a communications file

Has anyone ever tried to use a Java app to talk to a communications file (or
a hardware resource). What we want to do is to create a credit card
authorization routine that opens a line to a device sends and receives data
to it - then communicates to the as400 applications (RPG). If I was to do
this in RPG, I would use bysinc files (communications files and dds).

Any ideas on this??

Thanks

john
