Any generally accepted practices when cleaning up Domino servers?
- Delete any file in the IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT subdirectory over x days
old where x depends on whether or not you're currently watching for a
problem.
- Delete any file in the Trace subdirectory as you see fit.
- Delete any javacore file as you see fit
- *.TMP files that are out of date.
- Can you delete any file that begins with ~ if the server is down? Or if
the changed date on that file preceeds the last start of the server?
- Can you delete any file that ends with .DTF if the server is down? Or
if the changed date on that file preceeds the last start of the server?
- Can you delete any file that ends with .tmp if the server is down? Or
if the changed date on that file preceeds the last start of the server?

- Are the MJ*.nsf files self maintaining? Methinks they are mail
journalling.
- What about these rem#####.con files? Replace ##### with 5 numbers. They
haven't been modified in a year or more.
- QR0463045769LNT0004R06M03505000000000. A couple files with names very
close to this. Can I assume that the 5769LNT in the name is an indicator
of expendability?

DOMINO02.NOTESHST
Creation date/time . . . . . . . . . . : 12/12/98 09:50:15
Last access date/time . . . . . . . . : 12/14/01 19:23:05
Data change date/time . . . . . . . . : 12/14/01 19:23:05
Attribute change date/time . . . . . . : 07/26/14 16:03:15

And this (on my IBM i) is an interesting directory name: C:ÖMAILTEMPÖ
Note: In case your email reader changes it there is a capital O (as in
Oscar) wearing a sideways colon on top on both sides of MAILTEMP.

What about the contents of domino/cache? Nothing in there that hasn't
been changed in 15 years.

domino/html:
Do I really need files like iNotes6W.cab.70202702FP2 or
IBM_Lotus_iNotes_ActiveX_Installer_8.5.3_TR.msi.68533853FP3 on my Domino 9
server?

domino/html/INOTES5:
Does that 5 mean what I think it means? Or is it going to stay that name
forever? (Sort of like admin4.nsf?)

domino/html/SAMETIME*
This server never had sametime loaded. It was a different Domino
partition.

HELP
Many of the files here seem for old versions of Domino. The contents of
as400hlp.nsf are really dated.

INOTES
help6, help65, help70, etc are probably expendable?
What about the forms files? Any reason to keep Forms5,
Forms6...Forms85...?
