on the enddomsvr command (which is invoked by option 6)... there is an
optional parameter to end the java controller, the default is *NO.

Should the CONTROLLER job shut down along with all of the Domino tasks
when you do a WRKDOMSVR Opt 6 to end a DPAR controlled? One of our admins


is interested in using JConsole to access our iSeries servers like he does


the Wintel servers. I noticed when installing a PTF on our Test LPAR
yesterday that the CONTROLLER job sat at a THDW state and wouldn't end on
its own. In testing today, I stopped and started the DPAR and was able to


connect via JConsole without issue, but didn't know if this was the way
the controller is supposed to work on IBM i.
