Am I missing something new? There isn't a "full" 8.5.1 fp2
installation file. 8.5.1 has to be installed first...

- Within an hour I have 4 users now using FP2. Not counting me, who
followed this same path but assigned the policy to me first.

Next steps:
- Download full 8.5.1FP2
- Create suranas setup for it.
- Replace 8.5.1 kit with 8.5.1FP2 kit and bypass the two steps for the
hundreds of users still running a gamut of releases prior to 8.5.1.

- Go whole hog in rolling out training to everyone.
- Soon as they finish training assign the 8.5.1FP2 policy to them.

Current pmr opened: Why does the Smart Upgrade Tracking Database
rarely
get an entry?

Tediously, and by hand. But, until recently, that was the way we did
releases also. We are just rolling out Smart Upgrade to get users
upgraded. I am thinking of downloading that client FP and roll that
out
to all the users running 8.5.1 with Smart Upgrade.

I'm having issues with Smart Upgrade. Most of them have been ironed
out.
Current hurdle is why it stopped upgrading the Smart Upgrade Tracking
Database with who completed the upgrade. Cool that I use the
Notes/Admin/Developer pack and it just installs the right part(s)
based on

what the person was currently running. I hear that if I go to a multi
user setup I cannot do that.

A developer here wrote some code to create a .txt file of users who
have
upgraded to 8.5.1 but are on old templates. I will use a program
document

to do a LOAD CONVERT against that file to get their templates
upgraded.
Before they can go to 8.5.1 they must complete training. We
purchased a
web domino based training package which tracks their progress.
All in pilot with the systems department first.
Only 1 disaster. On both of her PC's she tried it and it went super
funky

and she had to uninstall and reinstall. Help desk goddess voted most
likely to have strange registry settings and all. Oh well, gives
the help

desk experience with the difficult ones. :-)

Out of curiosity, what mechanisms are your companies using to deploy
Notes

Client fix packs? And how satisfied have you been with them?

Thanks,

Guess I should have read the rest of the email. The other site just
hasn't been updated yet.
