8.0.2 FP2 on V6R1

Mail stopped routing this morning, accumulating in mail.box. No
error/corruption messages. Increasing the logging level on the router
yielded no clues as to why mail wasn't routing. Bounced the router
several times, no luck. IPL'd the partition, no luck. Ended the
interface via CFGTCP, option 1 then restarted the interface and the
floodgates opened and mail started routing. Was it just coincidence ? I
would think the IPL would have the same impact as restarting the
interface.

Any thoughts as to why restarting the interface would resolve our mail
routing problem this morning ?

Bob
