I was reading the data in
IBM Lotus Enterprise Integrator for Domino 8.5 Release Notes
English(C1W33EN)

Part of it states:
- Missing documentation for IBM i system
As a prerequisite for successful LEI installation, see
http://www.ibm.com/software/sw-lotus/products/product4.nsf/wdocs/leihomepage
(weblink: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/lotus/) and the Domino
documentation regarding the platform patch-level required for
the Domino server.

That link is bogus and points you to as general a lotus website as you can
find.

Tried this site:
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/i/software/domino/related/lei/index.html
but that doesn't mention 8.5 (as shown below, the compatibility chart in
the top right is good).

So I picked the 8.0 and then Technical Resources / Product Documentation.
That got me to 8.5.

Would be nice if
http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/lotus/c2724210.nsf
covered "upgrade". Like what are the steps to go from Domino 8.0.2 with
LEI 8.0.2 to Domino 8.5 with LEI 8.5? The above site looks like new
install. FAQ's might be:
- If I start my Domino 8.5 server with LEI 8.0.2 to upgrade from LEI 8.0.2
to LEI 8.5 will I get a lock because of the 8.0.2? (ServerTasks=...,LEI)
- If I am upgrading from LEI 8.0.2 to 8.5 do I still have to use the VNC
stuff? Can't be as simple as a RSTLICPGM or some such thing?
