If you do a WRKDOMSVR, then press F11 you should see
Domino
Release
That particular server is probably running 6.5.5.
(This information will also be in DSPF
'/QIBM/UserData/LOTUS/LOTUS_SERVERS'.)
Domino started supported running multiple releases of Domino at some
release. So, just putting on a new version of Domino doesn't upgrade your
server - see the instructions. I hope someone didn't put on the new
version and deleted the old one without upgrading the server. I can see
how the "object no longer exists" would come into play in that situation.
But that message would also imply that the server was up and running when
they deleted 6.5.5 which would imply this scenario:
- May or may not have dropped domino server.
- Put on new version.
- Did NOT upgrade the server itself.
- Started Domino server.
- Deleted 6.5.5 with Domino server running.
- <expletive deleted>

Don't just try editing the file mentioned in DSPF ... . There are other
steps involved. RTM.
