Hi,

I just installed Scanmail 3.0 onto our Domino server.

I have a couple of questions:

You will say this is silly to do too many things at once but I upgraded
our Domino server from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 and then I installed Scanmail. This
morning, Monday, when people logged on to Notes they are doing their first
replication of the day and as the mail file template has been upgraded
this replication is taking ages. Would the realtime mail scanning have an
effect on this replication and slow it down massively? As we have upgraded
before I don't recall this dramatic increase in replication time after an
upgrade.

So first question is, after a new release and client mail files have been
upgraded, would you turn off Scanmail scanning? If so, which or what
service? Or is 7.0.2 just so mych bigger than 7.0.1 mail files?

2nd question. Is Control Manager Agent available on iSeries? On first page
chapter 3 in the Scanmail 3.0 Admin Guide they say "Control Manager agent
is not available for i5/OS" and then they go through a detailed
installation process. I am guessing it is available and this is left over
from old documentation.

Thanks

Regards,
