IIRC, we ran for a very long time with nothing at all in that field. We
didn't populate it until we starting using an external server for antispam
and antivirus. Now everything comes through them and goes through them.
If you are just going to be sending to the Internet at large (no longer
relaying), I think you just need to clear that field. I haven't looked at
documentation to verify that, just going from memory.

Hope that helps,
Patrick

Relay settings

Our ISP has requested that we no longer relay through their server. At
the current time we have their server IP address in the "relay host for
messages leaving the local internet domain" under Message Settings. To no

longer relay, do we just remove that address, or do we replace it with our

internet gateway? The help says point it at the SMTP server, but that is
what our Domino server already is correct?

Thanks
Doug
