Well, if I had more than one box, I would probably get to devote more time
to it. I'm eagerly anticipating upgrading to 6.5.4, but it will be a while
yet. At the moment, the Passport Advantage site won't let me in, so I
couldn't upgrade even if I had permission.

If it's not one thing...

Patrick

Honestly I don't upgrade my Domino as often as my OS. But I have had some
Domino pmr's open for a few months that weren't really getting anywhere
and I was quite behind so I upgraded all 28 of our servers to 6.5.4 last
week.

I'm in a similar situation to what you describe, but negativity has
nothing
to do with it. Other fires always burn brighter, and Domino on the
iSeries
just works. If it broke more often, I'd get more leave to keep it more
up-to-date, but that seems like an odd thing to wish for....

You probably meant that tongue-in-cheek but I don't like to think that
negative.
1 - Many people who start to feel that way end up only putting on new
versions of OS/400 and/or Domino when they just HAVE to because of
hardware or other limitations.
1a - Thus more work gets moved off of the iSeries because it is
'obsolete'.
1b - Workarounds are then used instead of features that are now in the
latest version.
2 - I've seen numerous people who are only allowed to IPL their iSeries on
an infrequent basis, yet they like to stay one cume behind.
2a - Thus they've got problems that were resolved with the latest cume.
Now they have to wait for the next scheduled downtime to resolve it.
3 - In general, people tend to shy away from people with a negative
attitude.
