Program documents are Domino's version of WRKJOBSCDE.  Not bad.  However 
running some of these commands when the server is up will mean that 
certain databases will be ignored.

Check in the Admin Help about setting up a "program document". You can run 

fixup, updall, compact, or other tasks this way.
