We updated to version 2.6 last week with the latest Scan Engine build on
Domino iSeries version 6.03 Multi_Version support is available and it will
install properly. The update will prompt your for "design replace" if you
are upgrading and you should choose that option. We run multiple servers
on the same LPAR and it did not upgrade 1 of those servers. I had to
re-run the install and instead of selecting *ALL I specified the server
that was missed. The "signing databases" part is normal. It will now save
you the step of doing it yourself later, it uses the current server ID.

Scanmail 2.6 runs fine on the iSeries and PUPDATE does work, however it
does not have the E-manager functionality (see the read me file) for
custom filter rules. It does have the Spam database, but I am not sure if
the Spam Database works since it cannot be attached to a rule and enabled.
I have a call into trend micro about this version.

The pattern File numbers have changed (again). pattern file version
1.849.00

FYI. Make sure your Scan Engine is current, and you do need to be on 2.6
for the latest Scan Engine to work. Otherwise the newer viruses like
NETSKY will get through.

Regards,

Sean

Hey David,

When I put on the ScanMail for Lotus Notes 2.6 I noticed that, as part of
the install, it popped into QSH and flashed up stuff like:
Signing xxx.ntf
Creating xxx.nsf
Signing yyy.ntf
Creating yyy.nsf
...
Rather exhausted at the moment to delve any further.
