Sametime question

Gang -

We are attempting to install Sametime with our existing Domino 6.02
installation.  Apparently there is some requirement for the Domino server to
be partitioned (not the hardware but the Dom server itself) in order to run
the Sametime server.  I have tried to partition the Domino server by ending
the server, running the CHGDOMSVR  SERVER(dom-server-name)
ADVSRV(*PARTITION) command, and restarting the server but have had no
success.

Am I misunderstanding the requirement for a partitioned Domino server to run
Sametime?  Should the CHGDOMSVR command work in this instance?

Rebuilding the Domino server in order to partition it is not an option.
