Re: Timing is everything

Dick speaks almost verbatim from think progress, media matters, and
other left wing rags, but refuses to provide links, so he can claim he
never posts links to left wing fringe site.

It's a difference without a distinction.

You know, it's been asked before, but you will find hardly any far
left winged sources being used here by left winged list members as
sources. Sorry Norm, that 'tar baby' belongs to only to you guys.

You seem to have a significant memory loss.
Maybe you should revisit some of your material, as well as certain media
outlets, check out the vitriol that was coming from the left towards the
Republicans and Bush last election.

Oh, that's right that was ok because it was coming from the left.

Hypocrites all of you.

I am noticing that the "tone of the list" is pretty much everywhere
Republicans gather this year.  Democrats have remarked on the coarseness of
the campaign on the Republican side, but even more surprising is to read and
hear the remarks of long-time Republicans making comment, too.
People are sick of it and are totally disengaging from the political
process yet are building enthusiasm to vote come November.

George Will, Karl Rove, Jon Huntsman, Jeb Bush, and others have made sincere
and pointed remarks about this issue.  All of them are concerned that the
Republican brand name is being irreparably harmed.

This cycle is /not/ politics as usual.

Yes, we are all responsible for the things we say but, on some level,
we're all also responsible for the quality of the list as whole. Maybe
you can filter out the gratuitous insults and slams and just focus on
the issues. That's good for you, but I don't think most people can do
that. The result is, a lot of decent people leaving the list, and I'd
be willing to bet that there have been a lot of potential participants
driven away by the current tone of the list.

You're right, they can, and you're definitely better at staying on
topic than all of us. On the other hand, your POV is more likely to
be in line with the majority of the list, which means that you can
freely post your opinion on an issue without being slammed and insulted.

So what?

I'm responsible for me. You are responsible for you.

And my POV is my own and not anybody else's. What somebody else says
is not my fault

My mouth is my own. Ron Paul knows the worst dirt on both sides, we
all know that, Abrahamoff has exposed everybody "up there", and RP
doesn't follow along when he's baited.

I'm not leftist, I'm not rightist, I don't mind being called
libertarian, party-loyal Republicans and party-loyal Democrats who
"stand my their man" deserve what Abrahamoff got, including the ones
he named and didn't.
