Must of been too busy occupying other locations.
the state legislature passed and the governor signed "right to work" -
workers are no longer forced to pay union dues as a condition of
employment - last week.
the unions were pretty pissed and they bused in a bunch from all over,
and they marched on the village on wednesday around noon. Probably
about a thousand. I was standing there as they walked by.
they were pissed off and loud, but stayed reasonably civil and didn't
try to disrupt anything. they left in after an hour without incident.
it really could have been another Wisconsin kind of thing where they
tried to occupy the capital, but that never materialized either. I
think they knew they would never recoup any public sympathy if they'd
ruined the week.

No, I can't. There weren't a lot of pick pockets either. All the
usual things that go along with an event like this just didn't
materialize. There were no murders in Indy the entire week. Very few
arrests in the village area. Traffic was amazingly smooth all week,
even downtown.
Seriously, it could not have gone better. In fact, we've probably set
a standard even we'll never be able to meet again.
