It worked for the Obama supporters.
An interesting point of view that I think is interesting to debate.
If we can agree that the current environment is 'payback is a bitch,
commie' then the equivalent might be Obama campaigning in the spirit
of 'payback is a bitch, nazi.' I don't remember much of that. I
remember clearly thinking that his campaign had so little difference
compared to McCain's that I was yawning early on. The only so-called
difference was ending the war. I think McCain wanted us out by 2012,
but Obama wanted us out by 2012. Bush, that rat bastard, wanted us
out by 2012 - how dare he prolong the war that way?!?! About the only
thing Obama campaigned on that could remotely be considered different
is he kept saying 'change' a lot.
Now, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention. The clownage factor was
pretty high on all sides. I didn't vote for Obama; I didn't vote for
McCain. I don't have any emotional ties to either man. But I don't
recall the Democrats calling McCain a Nazi; I don't recall Democrats
calling his wife a slut and I don't remember any of the vituperation
that we see from Republicans today. But like I said, I didn't pay a
whole lot of attention. Maybe you can refresh my memory.
What shit were Democrats throwing during the McCain campaign?
