I just think adults need to be treated as such.

No argument. I was only trying to explain that I understand the
emotional appeal of a handgun ban.

I remain steadfastly against the idea in practice, specifically
because the Constitution guarantees our right to bear arms. I don't
have to like all the parts of the Constitution, but I have to believe
that if we start disregarding the bits we don't like, we will
self-destruct as a society.
