leave Iraq immediately

I think Paul's
(both our Paul, and Ron Paul) suggestion on leaving Iraq (the entire
middle east) to Iran and China (today) is not a long term plus for the
US.

If we would do this, several other changes would be made in US policy.
1) We decide that China is the superpower, mirroring the US (it is
already?)
2) We abandon any offensive initiative against Islamic
extremists/terrorists, both in defense of Israel and the US.
3) Although bringing Africa into the Economic "core" is a definite goal
of the US, the same (short term) troubles will develop. Islamic
extremism, warlords.

Look I have said before, that the structure of the Defense department
and State department must change, we need to develop the model proposed
by Thomas Barnett. We must separate the infrastructure demolition forces
from the infrastructure building forces. The USSR block and China
already have this, although the building process is not implemented
well. We currently depend on the UN for "nation building", which it has
shown it can't handle...
