Rick, have you got one of these?

I'm talking to an agent next week about setting up a different kind of
HSA.
I love this comment about the liberals:

<<Critics of HSAs question the validity of this argument and express
doubt
that individuals have the training and information necessary to make
intelligent, cost-effective decisions.>>

Yup, you folks are too stupid to understand the ins and outs, so we'll
have
to make decisions for you.

Shorter boofy: Rick and Paul are lucky, they survived life
threatening diseases and can afford to pay upwards of a $1k a month
for health insurance. They're only being selfish because they like
paying that premium for high deductable catastrophic insurance.

The bottom line is that Paul and I are only interested in what's best
for the system, our children, the country as a whole, and the greatest
number of it's citizens. Boofy, like most democrats, is only
interested in "what's in it for me?"

You are covered by Medicare and Medicaid, unlike me and Rick, so you

I have never received a nickel of inheritance.

I pay a pretty penny for my medical coverage.

Its easy to be a pompous bastard when you can afford it, Paul.

Half of America is below average and didn't have big inheritances and
plum jobs, like some.

A few people close to me are, yes. Not me. However I am high risk
and
uninsurable at regular rates for other reasons.

So, the Republican Plan would leave Rick and me uninsured. Rick
doesn't
care, but I do,

So.. please explain what you want to do, Paul?

My own reaction is that if you can ride the illegals wagon into a
discussion of health care, then probably talking about cancer
survivors
isn't really off topic, either?

"... Republicans want to expand the existing private insurance
system,
offering new tax breaks as a way of helping people buy insurance
individually. But they also want to avoid federal regulation that
would
tell insurers whom they have to cover and how much they may
charge.
That means the self-employed and others seeking individual
coverage
would be subject to a marketplace in which insurers generally pick
the
healthiest applicants and turn the rest away. Cancer survivors --
even
if they have been free of disease for several years -- are
routinely
denied health insurance when they try to purchase it as
individuals.
