Sorry, I thought the point you made was that the NY plan would not increase
potential voter fraud because the illegals would still not get dl's because
NY would still require foreign passports or ss#'s to get a dl.

In LA, without extending anything but your wallet you can get foreign
birth certificates and passports.
This thread was about the increase in voter fraud because NY would issue legal
ID to illegal aliens. If we're drifting away from that and into the space
where we are discussing bogus but legal-enough documents, then I tend to agree
with you. If we're still debating the assertion that voter fraud would
increase if NY adopts the Spitzer 'no social security number needed' policy,
then I have missed the point.
