Oddly, even though we tend disagree on some things, I see nothing at
all to quibble with in this.

what does that make me?

I've never quite figured out where I fall either.

I am strongly in the 'self-responsibility' group for most things,
also strongly 'private property rights', for example. But I'm not
comfortable with certain "things" being completely included under
'private property' and I cannot totally turn away from
'social-responsibility'.

E.g., I am very uncomfortable with the thought that I can do
whatever I want to do with land that I "own". The land will be
around for at least a day or two after I'm gone, and some
'social-responsibility' reminds me that poisoning that land can be
trouble.

AFAIK, I am 'anti-conscription'. OTOH, I am also
'anti-many-benefits-of-society-for-those-who-choose-not-to-serve'.
And I am 'anti-welfare-state' but not
'anti-basic-temporary-safety-net'. I don't believe that there is an
"obligation" even to vote, except insofar as that it's a declaration
of participation, and non-voting would be a declaration of
separation, i.e., general benefits should not be expected. That
pretty much goes along with taxation -- don't pay if you don't want
societal rights.

Too many elements have multiple aspects. Too much is interconnected
and feedbacks occur in odd ways.
