Hydrogen is not really a fuel, it's a medium for storing energy.
Although there is a huge amount of hydrogen on Earth it's not readily
available as it's almost all chemically bound up with other elements.
It has to be produced, which takes energy. It is difficult to store,
and it has to be transported which also takes energy. The usable
energy you get back from it is only a fraction of the energy you have
to put into it in the first place.
Yes, it is abundant and clean burning but it is not a source of energy.
