Congrats Tom, and I mean that!

I'll accept the congrats for how Jessica has been turning out. But
the engagement is all theirs. Colin called us Sunday to ask for our
blessing beforehand.
Did he really propose on his/her blog? With his cat?
Not on his blog; he got cuteoverload.com to host it. The resulting
comments made it easy for Jessica to get her reply posted. I'm not
sure he has a blog, though he's made LiveJournal entries for some time.
And, what, liberated women today still want daddy to pay for the
wedding? I'm sooooo glad I have only a son..... College is going to
be enough of a bitch. ;-)

I might borrow money from him to pay for a wedding if it comes down
to that. What the heck... I only have one daughter... everything's
going her direction anyway. Might as well pass the debts along too.
...Like we'd withhold any blessing... He's possibly gonna own
'Money' some day, and I'm thinking the entire concept not just 'have
money'.

Now, if that doesn't make sense, perhaps this might help:
http://www.cuteoverload.com
The first link above is for the "And the answer is..." entry itself.
It can be found near the top of the second link which has the recent
thread of entries. That entry is in response to the entry below it,
"Say "Yes!!!"".
I'll leave it up to CPF0000 listers to make the connections.
Since I'm one of the CPF0000 listers, I'll make the fundamental
connection -- Jessica ('Jess') is my daughter. She and Colin are a
wonderful couple and both family sides couldn't be more pleased.
Now to decide -- pay off remaining college debt or fork out wedding
bucks...?
