Re: Some stupid people are just scary

No, Paul, it was just one question, which you still won;t answer.

It seems to me that your answers are always bumper sticker slogans. Once the problem gets more complex than a bumper sticker solution your eyes glaze over and you reach for the *thwap* stick.

Meaning what, Paul? You are against peace and harmony? It doesn't count unless there is some head knocking? Real men don't hold hands and sing songs? War is glorious?
What do you mean? What point were you making?
What I am sensing is that you do not believe we are the World's Nanny, but rather that we are the World's Boss; we can ravage and pillage as we wish because we are, after all, Americans, the Real God's Chosen People. I am serious - that is exactly the message I get from your postings.

You are asking me? Have I left any doubt about that issue? No. We are not the World Nanny. "Freedom on the march" is not my credo, its yours.

I found this article interesting. If you don't subscribe to this
publication, you should. It's a non-profit organization, and has some
very
good commentary on economics.

Question, Paul. Do you believe that religion is any part of the reason for these killings? Or, perhaps, is religion just the handiest excuse?
My understanding is that these inter-tribal wars go back long before the birth of the Islam religion. The hatred and distrust among them is much deeper than a phrase in the Koran. But beyond that, who is it that is actually dying in these fights? Its not Infidels, it is other Muslims. None of this squares with your position that the reason for the violence is a directive from the Koran.

In my view, when we attribute a cause to something that is only ancillary we distort the problem, and as a result the solution becomes muddied and the problem is harder to solve. In this case, by sticking to the idea that these acts of violence were caused by, or incited by, the Koran, is muddying the water, in my opinion. 3800 American soldiers have died because of this mud.

Can we bring these tribes to peace? Do we even want to? Can we stop 10,000 years of fighting in one or two generations?
Why is understanding this concept important to me? Because I believe that our real goal is to defuse the tensions, remove the fuel, and bring more attractive alternatives to their attention. How do we do this? Education, involvement, and good jobs. Can't we join with others to remove confrontation, marginalize the nuts, and re-focus family activities in the area?

You are too far away there in the Choctaw Nation to see the phenomenon.
The
Moslems in Vermont probably kept a low profile.

Look at Africa. Moslems are killing infidels every day of the week. Same
goes for Afghanistan. Indonesia. Iraq. Iran.
Wake up.

I am with you on your argument up until the very last, Buck. Why are you limiting it to America? Are American Muslims really all that different than the very vast bulk of Muslims everywhere in the World, at

least when it comes to killing Infidels? Are there Muslims killing Infidels for religious reasons anywhere in the World?

Even Al-q claims the attacks of 9/11 were motivated by our occupation of

their lands, not because we are Infidels.

They talk like a Muslim but they don't act like one.
