Re: Some stupid people are just scary

I see. So when someone tells me that Creationism is in the Bible and therefore true, I can say "No, Jesus released us from those beliefs."? Or do you really mean that Jesus allows you to pick and choose what to believe and what not to believe?

Nope. It's just that Jesus released believers from the requirements of much
of the old laws.

Surely you have learned that in church. Haven't you? You do go to church,
don't you?

Answer the question. Is the Bible false? Do you, as a Christian, reject parts of the Bible?

Show us something in the New Testament that says "Go forth and kill"

Sheesh

So... Let me be really clear on this. You are saying that the Bible is false in some places?

Paul Nelson wrote:
Good one, but can you find something similar in the New Testament? People
were not Christians when the books of the Old Testament were written.

Paul,

So?

>From chapter 4 of the Koran:
"If they turn away from Allah, then sieze them and kill them wherever
you
find them."

Anybody got any questions about this instruction?

>From Deuteronomy 13:6-10

"If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love,
or
your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship
other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 gods of
the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to
the
other), 8 do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not
spare him or shield him. 9 You must certainly put him to death. Your hand
must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the
people. 10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the
LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery."

Anybody got any questions about this instruction?

-Mike
