Don't behead those who offend you. Don't try to have them arrested
for offending you. Don't sue them for offending you. Ignore them
when they're offensive.

Good point, Chuck. The important issue though, to my mind, is that we
recognize the very different nature of the events. The Quran was
flushed exactly because the flusher knew it would cause troubles. His
actions were motivated by hatred with a goal of causing trouble, pure
and simple. Thats what makes it a hate crime.
Sometimes equal is not fair. This is one of those times.

The action isn;t the issue, the reaction is the issue. If a Bible was
thrown in a toilet and it made the evening news, I suspect Christians
all over America would be pretty upset. A few of the Holier-Than-Thou
preachers start their normal rhetoric and I suspect with in a few
months
it could in fact be a pretty serious situation.
