Re: Cheese Headcases - Wisconsin reveals the cost of"universal" health care

Your right booth, lets keep the women locked up, barefoot and pregnant.
How long have you been in Oklahoma?

Your shirt is becoming more brown every day.

So you believe then that your meds should be selected upon the basis of
boobalicious?

I would prefer that my doctor make decisions about what drugs to
prescribe based on his reading medical journals instead of his
appreciation of T&A.

You believe that, do you, Rick?

Is that the drug company's fault or the doctor's? It sounds like
they're well worth the $500k a year they're being paid, don't you
think?

It's been my observation (and I've spent a lot of time in doctor's

wouldn't

be nearly as successful as this corps of young ladies.

I don't know booth. John's story about his friend is certainly
alarming, but sounds incomplete if not apocryphal. Is this

person

uneducated, or must she be able to speak intelligently on all

aspects

of the drugs she's promoting?

Is that rate of pay normal for the industry or is John's friend
special in some way?

If any salesman generates 50 million in sales (probably a low

number)

and consistently meet and beat their numbers each month and

quarter,

don't they deserve about 1% of net after bonuses and such?

I don't know what the going rate for sales is, but that sounds

pretty

competitive for salesmen in any industry.

Wage controls, Rick? Why not just plain wage competition? What

do you

beyond that,

why do drug companies need that kind of sales force? What other
industry pays those wages for selling skills?

rick baird wrote:

So John, are you coming out in favor of wage controls? Does

that go

for Doctors, Nurses, and Medical Technicians? How will you

feel

when

they decide IT professionals make too much?

Universal health care will not stop pharma companies from

paying

salesmen too much to promote their wares. Price controls on

drugs

might, but with only a few years to recoop R&D before patents

expire,

I think they'll still push for sales. Probably at the expense

of R&D.

All but the bravest will decide generics are where the real

money is

and dump R&D altogether - no way to make a decent return on

what

they

spend.

It is in the opinion section for a reason. I have a friend who

Universal healthcare costs. Give her a real job making the 50K

making, make the gouging on drugs, hospital stays and basic

care

let's see where the cost ends up.
