I25 pound animal that is dumb as a box of rocks.
Dogs are purpose-bred over generations. You'd have a hard time breeding
a killer border collie.

Any dog can be bred to kill. Some easier than others.
I'm not sure that "huge, stupid dogs that need constant attention" properly
describes this breed. I thought they were intelligent medium size dogs.
But I could be wrong.

Also take the time to look up Siegfried and Roy.
However the point that I'd make is... is owning one of these
bred-to-kill dogs worth the risk? What possible benefit is there to
owning a pit bull if not to fight? These are huge, stupid dogs that
need constant attention. Even the slightest mistake can have horrible
repercussions. They are not good pets, they are not hunters or even
working dogs.

I still disagree that a _well_raised_ Pit Bull is high risk. I think
they
are high risk if they aren't trained properly. But training by
intelligent
owners who know how to properly train pit bulls can result in a good,
loving, loyal dog.
I'll find my evidence when I get time this weekend. I know I've read
about
it somewhere! :)

Not entirely true, Rick. Dogs are what they are. Yes, they adapt but
they don't change. Thats why a well-raised Pit Bull is still a high
risk animal.

Technically, it's mistreatment not to share food at meal times. The
'pack' eats as a pack -- in dog minds. The dog has no grasp of what
its crime against the pack was.
Much of what is considered 'normal' to humans is unsane to a dog.
Common treatment is _technically_ mistreatment.
But dog fights are unforgivable.
It's a matter of degree.
If the dog is trained, consistently and firmly, from a pup, then they
learn the rules of the pack they live in. It may confuse them at
first, but they adapt.
