where in the world did you get the idea there were only a thousand?

They train that many a year, in camps all over the world (but mostly
in Pakistani mountains) and they affiliate with other groups who train
themselves, and they're all flocking to Iraq for their 'afghanistan v.
russia' and 'blackhawk down' moment, to defeat the infidel.

They've put most of their eggs in the Iraqi basket, and you want to
let them have it.

And, as you say, we have not captured bin Laden. At this point, if we
do capture him it will look like we just happened to stumble across him.

America is being laughed at in every corner of the World. bin Laden has
become an underdog and folks everywhere are pleased to see America
looking foolish.

The damage we have done to our reputation is immense.
