Buck,

Speaking of Australia, the ANZAC day party on Saturday was a smashing
success.

It was just a picnic, in an Aussie ex-pat's back yard, but over 200
attended and the Australian Consulate out of Chicago and the Indiana
University President-Elect (another Aussie) both attended and spoke.
Also the Director of the Liberty Project online library spoke for
about 20 minutes on what ANZAC day means to Aussies and Kiwis.

It was very moving.

The Liberty Fund, btw, is a non-profit that is working to transcribe
old and out of print texts (some still under copyright, some in public
domain) and put them on-line. We spoke at length about how he
receives emails from college students in Kazakhstan, India, China,
Russia, etc, who say that many of the titles (mostly economy and
philosophy so far) they've done so far aren't in any of the libraries
in their home countries. It's opening a whole new avenue to western
economics, the enlightenment, etc to these countries. Very important
work.
