Mr. Nixon was not convicted. Nor did he ever ADMIT taking part in any of the
illegal activities. He was buried with full Presidential honors, and as per
the Constitution, he was afforded all of the rights and privileges of full
citizenship and preclusion from prosecution based on his presidential
pardon.
Whomever it was that said he got his apparently wasn't around for the late
1980's and early 1990's when he was treated in exactly this manner by
diplomats, heads of state and US Administrations, as it should be under our
laws. He was guilty, but never convicted.
Say what you want, but the constitution works.
