Re: Obama doesn't take money from federal lobbyists...

I, for one, have met DeLay. He is one of the meanest humans I have ever met.
He makes life miserable for people he doesn't even know for no apparent
reason. I've also met Mr. Bush and Mr. Rove. I don't like them and they
don't like me. Mr. Rove is obviously way above the working class people and
has an avid dislike to being around them. Of course, I don't like the
Democratic politicians either, so I guess I'm even on both sides of the
isle. Let's just treat them all with respect, until they are convicted of
something.

BTW, Mr. Clinton was not convicted of any crime because he didn't violate
the law. Like it or not, he and Mr. Gonzales are in the same boat. What they
did was unethical, but neither was illegal.

Let's stick to the facts, people.
Hollow words, I know.

John

you are the only person here I've heard defending Foley.

No one has defended Cunningham. not a single person.

I have defended DeLay, but only in the context of the way the prosecutor
obtained his indictment, which even partisan democrats think is shady. I
have always offered the caveat that I don't know if he's guilty or not.

I never defend Rove, instead, I'm content to just make fun of democrats
(like you) who believe he's behind every evil in the country, and who
attribute just about any big news to his behind the scenes machinations and
"questioning the timing" - meaning that the event nothing but a diversion to
make people forget about bush.

That makes me laugh every time.

The 'crime' Libby was convicted of was no worse than Clinton's or Martha's,
which even you admit. but that doesn't matter to you, the ends justify the
means - he _had_ to be guilty of something - even if we have no evidence of
a crime - so we'll trump up a charge and make an example of him.

next.

Some on this list use these names in a feeble attempt to appear
clever.

It sure would be nice if you would use the real person's name. For
those of us who don't know who you are referring to, we could follow.
It also shows a lot more class to use the name rather than some
childish name making fun of someone.

Where do you think Rosty came from? Where do you think Billary
went for lessons? Heck, hizzoner even placed his own brother onto
Billary's cabinet.

True, gone, but not forgotten when we talk about a Culture of
Corruption. Sort of makes Chicago look like small potatoes, eh, Paul?

Good point, Paul. Its only 6 Moral High Grounders currently in
trouble. Those two are old stuff, like Mark Foley.

Gosh, I'd forgotten about Foley. That'd be 9 in the last 12
months, right?

Back to the odd numbers, Chuck. Sorry.

Lets see... DeLay, Cunningham, Doolittle, Renzi, Rep. Gary
Miller
(R-Calif.) and Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-Calif.) are already the
targets of federal investigations, and two other Republican
lawmakers face possible ethics inquiries

You're right, Chuck, its an even number: 8 by my count. Sorry.

It makes me realize the ingenuousness of Republican Moral High
Grounders.

How many Republican Congressman are in serious trouble right
now with the Law? Not just ethics and broken promises but
outright criminal activity. Is it 5, 7, or 9?
