It makes me realize the ingenuousness of Republican Moral High Grounders.
How many Republican Congressman are in serious trouble right now with
the Law? Not just ethics and broken promises but outright criminal
activity. Is it 5, 7, or 9?

What's odd to me is that, here, we have a politician who is actually trying

who are doing nothing. Politics as usual, I guess.

Get back to us Rick when he actually does do it. So far he's done as he

until then, please don't suggest he is lying or dishonest.

he is? you don't think the words "i will run a different type of
campaign and not take money from federal lobbyists" is counter to the
facts and reality of the matter?
Ok, he's trying to change the system (forget the fact that this is
part and parcel of how the system works), but when politicians say
something as a matter of policy, and those words run counter to the
facts of the matter, don't you think they should be called on it, and
clarify those words?
Is there a difference between accepting campaign funds directly from
corporations and accepting them from those corporation's lobbyists?

No Mike, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that he should be

...damn that rat bastard for even trying to make a difference! If he
can't
change the entire political system overnight, what good he is going
to
do!
This must mean the Feingold-Obama Lobbying and Ethics Reform Act (or
the
Legislative Transparency and Accountability Act that he pushed
for--and
got
passed in the senate) was all just a big scam to score political
points. He
doesn't really want to improve anything in Washington, he's just
doing
it
for the publicity. That's what you're saying, isn't it?

No, not at all - he has to take the money.
I just don't like the dishonesty of saying he won't.
